Adam’s birthday is at the end of this month.
I am at a loss on what to do.
I do not want to have loads of people at my house. It is too small.
Being in Vancouver we are bereft of Gymnastic places and Chucky Cheeses…..
I was thinking Science World, but it is really expensive.
We did the community centre last year.
He is turning 5.
Ideas???

What about Stanley Park? The zoo? Maplewood Farm in North Van?
Oooh… the aquarium?
what about the planterium?
i just booked ds#4s party today-he’s 5 next week-at a local indoor playplace
maybe do a Spiderman party at the local theatre…..if he (or daddy) can hold out that long before going to see the new Spiderman movie! lol
We just went to a party at Maplewood last fall..so it is an idea.. i just didnt’ want to look like a copy cat!
The planetarium isn’t too bad…same as science world..I will have to get dh to realize just how pricey it is around here.
I was looking at this gynmastics place in coquitlam too..if that wouldn’t be too far for people to travel.
And yes he does want to see Spiderman….and Shrek is coming out too!
Hi, I wish I could suggest something, I am not familiar with the area, but the place in coquitlam sounds familiar because I saw it advertised in the MR paper and drove by it once. Sorry that probably doesn’t help. I haven’t posted anything here for ages, I just wanted to say hi and see how things are…have you found any luck in the moving situation?
Hey Heidi….
Well moving is TOTALLY on hold now with dh’s mom being in the hospital..that put the kibosh on everything.
We also wanted to wait to see when we can get dh’s contract renewed so we know for sure what sort of money we will have and that will be this summer.
I am still keeping an eye out though.
Oh and everyone…I am looking seriously at redesign ideas, so let me know what you would like!
The Aquarium would be my first choice, but perhaps not a 5 year olds.
How about a drive out to Crescent Beach to play in the sand, eat hot dogs and ice cream - you know, like back to the basics, make sand castles, wade in the water, get muddy… be a kid
Ha, aren’t I a big help???
Heidi..if I could keep it to a minimum amount..fine..but I think last year there was 20 odd kids!
Between neighbour kids and cousins…it adds up!
Heather! Welcome back and good to see ya..if I could keep it to a minimum amount..fine..a simple beach fun would be great..but I think last year there was 20 odd kids!AAAAND when you are dealing with all the parents too…..sigh.
Between neighbour kids and cousins…it adds up!
I am going to push Science World or the Planetarium as that is right up his alley and keeps everything timed and organized.
What about the Killarney pool? Or False Creek? Or have two parties? A family one and a friend one? 20 kids seems like a crazy amount! Good luck!
