Here it comes
I know some people thought our summer here in the lower mainland wasn’t so great, but I thought it was fine. Now comes autumn, my favorite time of year!
Yeah it’s wet, and at my place and we are finding out that the boots and coats don’t fit the little ones anymore. At our place I have discovered that my two preteens will NOT wear jackets or boots anymore. They would rather go out in a couple of hoodies and an umbrella.
This month is my son’s fifth birthday, and two weeks after that it will be Halloween. One week after that will be my second daughter’s tenth birthday and in the month of December will be my hubbys fourty-third birthday, followed closely by Christmas. In January his oldest daughter’s twenty-first birthday. In February will be OUR first born’s twelfth birthday. Then we get a little break until April which is his first son’s nineteenth birthday. Needless to say, we are in for alot of activity starting this month.
Do I need to go into the fall colours? The leaves and all that jazz? How about the cloudy days with the cool breezes and the special scent that I only notice in the Fall? Does anyone else notice that? There is a feeling of the earth winding down, and I enjoy it so much. Someone said to me that fall to them is gloomy. I don’t know what that says about me, being one who prefers cloudy days to warm sunny days.
Despite all our family has going on at this time of year, I always feel a little more mellow when walking through crunchy leaves and I don’t have to put on sunglasses or oily sunscreen.
Welcome back Autumn!

Autumn can be a very nice season here or just horrible. We did have some nice weather in September.
Ah birthdays, mine start Oct22nd and go solid until just before Christmas. Ugh.

Autumn is the best time of the year. I love the cooler weather and the Autumn colors.
It is starting to warm up here in Australia and I am not looking forward to Summer. The heat is exhausting.
