We have a lot of high-end designer stores in Vancouver…mostly in the downtown core on or around Robson Street.
The Grande Dame of them all is Holt Renfrew. Canada’s own high end department store.
The Vancouver branch has re-opened in what was once the ‘new’ section of Pacific Centre Mall. This is a HUGE space. Much bigger than their old diggs. Filled from top to bottom with designer clothing, accessories and make up.
I haven’t been in to check it out yet. It took me years to get over being intimidated by the prices at the old one….it is just so nice to LOOK at the clothes that I cannot and probably will not EVER be able to afford.
The new store is apparently gorgeous though and well worth a visit.

Well Crunchie I do like to look nice on occasion but not at those prices. Even Oakridge is going further upscale with a Coach store now. Some people must have loads of money and be willing to spend it.

I feel like a fraud when I walk through our local Macy’s because I can’t afford their clothes, but I sure enjoy looking. It’s like being on a diet and still inhaling next door to the bakery.
