Passport Saga

I was watching our local news this evening, when they ran this story on a couple in Campbell River, who after waiting since the beginning of January for their passports, finally get them only to find that? the government spelt their names wrong on the passport!? Can you believe it?? Well yes I can…but my goodness.? Now these poor folk have to make the 6 hour round? trip? to Victoria.? Doesn’t seem fare to me that they have to make the long trip and then wait another 7 hours in line hoping that they will be seen.? ? Victoria is the only place on the Island that has a Federal passport office.? Doesn’t seem? right.? Hey I got an idea? they should do the same as those folks that tried to get into Canada using stolen passports did.? ? They should? ? have their 10 year old son write a letter in crayon? to the Prime Minister begging him to? correct this mess….the Prime Minister can then pass their request of to? the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration and she? straigten the whole mess out.? Yeah right!!! ? Hey who needs passports when you can get your 10 year old child to write a letter in crayon!!!? Sounds good to me….
