I do love it here! We live in the best corner of the world, and we really need to appreciate and embrace our natural environment!

I often go to Langley from Victoria to visit family, and every time, without fail, I am aghast at the earth-shattering development happening in Surrey et cetera. What happened to all the trees? Birds fly about as if in a catatonic state of disbelief. I nearly choke to death on fuel emissions in the cloud of rush hour, roadkill is on the side of the road every 1/2 km, and I search endlessly for the seemingly nonexistent presence of pedestrians... what happened to the outskirts of Vancouver? Why are we trying to create something we obviously aren't meant to be?

The Lower Mainland needs to maintain its gorgeous greenery to be able to continue to offer the same beauty and richness for years to come.

Green is beautiful... let's maintain it!

Ha, you are right - that's how Yaletown seems to me too - it's trying too hard!

I do love the fact we have so much variety within just a few hours drive of Vancouver - we really do have it ALL :)
