Honestly..I am not THIS bitter!
I am really trying to work on writing something nice about our fare city!
But see here why I should stop reading the Vancouver Sun.?

Yes, I saw that, and chose not to read it. It just brings me down, and there are so many good things about our fair city - but we happen to have a good number of yahoos who just don’t get that they ought to behave.

oh Geez..I haven’t gone down there in AGES…I think the last time I was on Granville I was standing outside a theatre wating for Alex, 12 years ago.
It was a preaarranged meeting spot and I had monumental news for him. Right outside that theatre I told him we were pregnant, with Jess our first. He hugged me and dragged me to Burger King and ordered me orange juice cause pregnant women need orange juice haha…
Yes that is a fond memory but I remember even then that it was kinda scummy. I remember as a child going down to some hotel to visit my uncle with some older cousin’s. We saw lots of children horsing around in that hotel, and the street had a safer feel to it. Now I think theres XXX stores and who knows what else in that block.
Granville is one place that I haven’t even thought about bringing the kids to walk around.

C- I used to go down there as a pre teen to buy my comics and see movies.
I would NEVER let my kids down there nowadays.
Even during the day it is pretty skanky.
It should be vibrant and fun for all..not just yahoos hitting The Roxy.
