Would You Like to Give Your Doctor a Check Up?

Over the years I’ve gone to various doctors and liked many but occasionally wondered why others were practicing.

When I moved it was not easy to find a new doctor - it seemed as though all the highly recommended ones were not accepting new patients and others I knew of who didn’t have the greatest reputations were just not on my list.

Finally, I resorted to the local newspaper and found a doctor who’s name I liked. Luckily for me, he has turned out to be a great choice and I highly recommend him to my family and friends.

A friend just sent me this link to a very controversial site and of course I had to see how my doctor ranked. He had 4 reviews and is rated 5/5. I’m pleased but not surprised and gave him another high rating. I also checked a few other doctors to see if others’ opinions were the same as mine! It was very interesting, to say the least. Listed are the doctors names, their specialty and their location along with the reviews they’ve received and their ranking.

The really interesting searchable part of this website provides the ability to find specialists in your area. Say you need to see a Bariatric specialist, or a Plastic Surgeon - just enter the geographic location, the specialty, even your postal code - and all the information is at your fingertips.
Please, remember the ranking is anonymous, by patients I assume, and people can be devious and vindictive. This is not a medical association approved website as far as I know and is causing controversy in the medical world.
Two local doctors I wanted to check were not listed. Perhaps they requested to have their names removed or their names were overlooked or not submitted.

  1. You could not have possibly posted a link to this site at a better time for me. Thank you Heather!

  2. Interesting. I checked out my doctor who is a five star, both according to me and some others. But I couldn’t see how to add my rating. Do you have to create and account etc before you can rate?

  3. Ok Heather,
Figured it out and added a rating. Duh, push the button, jmb.

  4. Uhhhh my doc got a 3.2 rate lol. I personally find her to be fantastic for my family, and that’s all that matters to me.

  5. This is great! I had the most difficult time finding a doctor in Vancouver, jumping from walkin clinic to walkin clinic (I had one pervy old male doctor ask if I was wearing underwear when he was going to look at my leg. EW!). I finally found a fantastic doctor (Dr. Hinchliffe). I’m glad to see others love her as much as I do.

  6. i knew about this before you posted, but it is very cool, i’m glad you posted about it. i used the site to review the doctor who recently fixed my father’s broken neck.
