why website design (graphics, backend, etc) is so freaking expensive?
I don’t get it.
I really don’t. Apart from man hours of actually doing the work, I really don’t see why the programming etc is so pricey, etc that it will continue to be pricey while people are willing to shell out vast quantities.
Ideas?

Vancouver has a lot of nice jewelery stores, from family run boutique businesses to Canadian classics like Birks.
I feel that Birks deserves a nod. We have a Tiffany store here now, and I recall everyone being quite excited about it. But Birks is a Canadian company going back 126 years in the jewelery trade.
