To everyone at Wet Coast Women,

We read crunchy’s post “We’ve come a long way, baby” on the status of women in politics and realized we both have something in common! Antigone Magazine is a semi-annual, non-partisan magazine about women and politics written by young women in Canada.

We from Antigone Magazine are trying to get Vancouver blogs to try and get people interested in our community art project. If you’re interested, we’d greatly appreciate it if you could post about it on your blog! We want to know what people’s Dreams for Women are. What are your own dreams for yourself, your friends, your sisters, your daughters? We encourage anyone to paint, draw, write, sketch or decoupage their dreams on a postcard and send it to the address below:

If possible, we encourage a small donation to Antigone Magazine from anywhere from $1 to $10 along with your postcard. We are raising the money in order to help launch the Antigone Foundation, a national foundation that will encourage young women to get politically and civically engaged. Anyone interested can send their donation along with their postcard or donate on our blog. But don’t worry… People don’t have to donate if they can’t. They can just send along a postcard and spread the word about Dreams for Women. We’ve already started posting bi-weekly on our blog http://antigonemagazine.blogspot.com

I wanted to thank the ladies at Antigone.  I am actually familiar with the magazine and and happy to pass on this message.  I think the postcard idea is great as is the message.
