Good Causes with Good Loot!

Yesterday I headed out to Mission, BC to take part in a fundraiser dinner for a friend of a friend.  

She needs a liver transplant, and the expenses involved are high and everyone has wanted to try to help out as much as we could.

It was a great night and I can’t wait to hear what the final tally was.

People from all around and with either a big connection or  small to the patient had donated some amazing gifts.

There was a fantastic silent auction with many great items, as well as a HUGE raffle and a 50/50 draw.

The lady that won the draw donated back her winnings.

I bid on a few items and ended up winning two of them! Yay me.

The one item was two gift certificates for a place in Maple Ridge called Raptors Ridge.   The certificate is for a ‘Hawk Walk.’

I am sure Adam will love this.

The other item I won was a lovely gift basket from The Fort Wine Company.  It includes a bottle of their Red Cranberry wine, a glass place and a Wine and Cheese Tasting for 6 people! Whoo!!!

Anyway, it was a wonderful night for a great lady and she got a super turnout.

Thank you too, to Stella’s …they did a great job and took good care of us all.

I hope she remains well and healthy and wish her only the best.
