How in the Loop am I?

Posted by crunchy | February 19, 2008 .

I am so oblivious to the life that is zooming around me….

But some one out there must THINK I am in the loop.

I got this invite emailed to me…

Frozen Pea Happy Hour!

Voxant.com will be in Vancouver this week for the Northern Voice blogging conference and we want to meet you! We’ve partnered with the Vancouver Bloggers Meetup for a “Frozen Pea Happy Hour” this Friday - if you’re at Northern Voice (or even if you’re just in the area)… stop by and let Voxant buy you a drink!

Join the Frozen Pea revolution and donate to cancer research:

My reaction was - “huh?”  and “oooh”   and “how did I not hear about this?”

I am totally peeved that I had not heard of this…..have you?

Anyway.  My social anxiety is still not good these days……and so I cannot imagine going out to this thing…even though I should.

However.  If someone wanted to GO WITH ME?  Maybe?   Can you convince me???

Hee

Oh and yeah,   I googled around and there is a Vancouver Bloggers crew on Meetup.com.   There is a lot of bloggers out there!

I got the same invite. I think they are just targeted at any Vancouver Bloggers.

I would not pay to go to a blogger thing like NV. Or anything like that.

hi there … i’m the organizer of the vancouver bloggers meetup. too bad i didn’t see your post earlier, i could have taken you under my wings :)

barbara, if you have time, perhaps look around and say what people say about northern voice. in my mind it’s an amazing conference. this year, for $60, you had your choice of 50+ presentations (one of them by wordpress founder matt mullenweg). this came with 4 free meals, and hanging our with absolutely amazing people was just one of many other great things offered there. i can’t think of a better bang for my buck.
