<description>Umm, I am not a big phone talker, so to me having one is merely just an extra means of contact. We have our home line through a package deal from Shaw for HSinterNet/BasicCable/Phone which given the whole package is pretty cheap.

I only have a pay as I go cell phone which only costs me $10 a month, and I never use up the time. I use it more for just messages and emergencies. Paul does the same thing so it is pretty cheap for two of us to keep in touch.

The services now are all so competitive that pricing is usually pretty par. You just have to factor in the deals they nail you with. A 3 year contract is crap. If you break it early they will ding you hundreds. So be sure when signing such deals you are will to eat that 3 years or eat the deal breaking fees. I did that once with two phones from my last relationship, no fault of mine that we split up and wanted to cancel the services but because we did, it cost $300 PER PHONE. OUCH.
