A world-renowned festival of performing arts for young audiences, the Vancouver International Children’s Festival has been educating, entertaining and inspiring young audiences since 1978.

30th Anniversary Celebrated in Style

Patrons and the arts community alike applauded the 2007 Vancouver International Children’s Festival for its outstanding 30th Anniversary programming.  

Over the 8-day festival more than 46,000 people enjoyed the 78 mainstage performances and 30 bandshell shows, participated in daily dance, storytelling and circus skills workshops, had their faces painted, or enjoyed one of more than 20 diverse site activities. All together, this accomplished the festival’s mission to spark children’s imaginations with a very special experience in beautiful Vanier Park at this most unique and loved Children’s Festival..
