I just wanted to make sure the links that people shared are seen by all who may be interested in all things baby.

Crocodile  - I actually the owner a little while ago when she and I were invited down to CBC 690 to talk about Stroller trends and etiquette.  Very nice lady.

New & Green – Awesome site….I will for sure be trying out their workshops on cloth diapering.

Pomegranate Midwifery – can’t take me  as they are booked for July babies.

Commercial Drive Midwives – I am hoping to see these people though..fingers crossed.

And I have Wii Fit envy.  We have a Wii..but no FIT….now I want one!

If you have any other goods or services you want to share, please let me know and I will add them to my list!

Little Earth – I seriously LOVE Main street….really miss living down there.  Sigh.  Thanks Rebecca

Just found this awesome bloggind Doula…..Vancouver Doula.

I love Little Earth on Hastings, right beside Pomeogranite: http://www.littleearthvancouver.ca.

I picked up a brochure for a diaper service today (they pick up the dirty ones, and bring you clean ones every week): Happy Nappy Diaper Service (happynappy.ca)

Am definitely leaning towards cloth diapers.

My midwives were based out of the Midwifery Group on Main street – they were amazing. The office is really great, comfy and everyone really cares about you. Just thought I’d throw in my 2 cents!

I have a (not-for-profit)website resource aimed at BC parents that reviews playgrounds. It started in May in the Victoria area and we just expanded to Vancouver too. I get lots of good feedback so you can check out the site and if you like it, you can submit a review, enter a competition or join a group.

Warning to all new moms — stay away from WestCoast Kids in Richmond. Their stuff may be appealing, but the customer service is atrocious. After waiting 12 weeks for a glider chair (estimated time 6-8 weeks), apparently they ordered the wrong one. They take no ownership for their mistakes, provide no compensation or discount and are completely incompetent. I’m due in a few days and can’t tell you the agony it has been dealing with them during what is supposed to be a resting period in my pregnancy. There have been a whole host of other issues including being told some items were in and ready to be picked up to find that after waiting 1 hour at the store for them to get it together that they didn’t have items in at all. Then they didn’t even apologize for our inconvenience. I don’t have the energy to list the other atrocities. I beg you, for your own sanity – don’t do it. TJ’s or Baby’s World are WAY better to deal with. Good luck!

Don’t despair if you find you can’t get in with a midwifery group. Keep checking with them or get on their waiting list. Many times they find that spaces open up if other clients become high risk and get transferred to OB/GYN care.

Have you tried Open Door Midwifery in the Crossroads clinic at Cambie & Broadway?

And if you are still interested in dropping by the parent’s group that I hold at Little Nest, the next one is coming up in a couple of weeks. If you’d like to come just email me and I’ll get you the time and date details.

    Happy Thanksgiving!
